Watershed Management and Maintenance for Agroecosystem Resilience
Abstract Due to rising average temperatures and changing weather patterns, there are increasingly frequent episodes of extreme rainfall, extreme wind, flooding, and other storm events in the great state of Missouri. If not properly maintained, compromises to watersheds and dams can result in flooding of agricultural areas -- decimating crops, destroying land structures, and even threatening human life. The danger of these events and the economic impact can be devastating ... but it is preventable!
